Chief Operating Officer (COO)- YouTube Department

Known for the award-winning digital publisher boredpanda.com and the Crafty Panda DIY channel, we fight the world’s boredom at scale - reaching 160 million site views per month and 62 billion video views per year. Our team consists of around 350 creative professionals from 36 countries, with 2 offices in Vilnius, Lithuania.
We’re looking for a Chief Operating Officer to lead and scale Bored Panda’s YouTube department.
This is not a “keep things running” role. This is about building a high-throughput engine designed to identify, validate, and systematically expand winning content categories.
You’ll work directly with creative leaders and be responsible for turning ideas into repeatable, scalable success.
This is an opportunity to lead a serious YouTube business, grow profitable projects, launch new ventures, and shape the next stage of a global creator-media company.

What You Will Do:
Own the performance of the YouTube department: full responsibility for outcomes across different channels (views, revenue, market position, etc.).
Optimize production and efficiency: treat content as production at scale; maintain speed, output quality, and team efficiency; build processes that enable consistent, high-volume execution.
Lead YouTube Creative Directors: support them to achieve channel success; build clear accountability and strong incentive structures; remove bottlenecks so they can focus on producing winning content.
Capitalize on Emerging Trends: Direct the continuous analysis of the digital landscape to spot high-velocity opportunities; build the framework to prototype and move new channels from "proof-of-concept" to market leaders.
Build a scalable playbook: develop systems for finding new niches, evaluating performance (KPIs, benchmarks), and running and interpreting A/B tests; turn intuition and insights into repeatable working processes.
Own analytics and experimentation: deeply understand metrics like CTR, watch time, and their impact; run structured experiments (A/B testing, ads testing, content variations); translate data into clear actions.
What We Expect:
Strong analytical thinking- you’re comfortable with numbers, metrics, and experiments;
Understanding of A/B testing, performance tracking, and feedback loops;
Sound judgment and decision-making, with the ability to back decisions with clear logic and arguments;
Proven ability to drive results, not just manage people;
Experience working with creative teams or content (YouTube is a big plus);
Ability to identify talent and build high-performing teams;
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, experimental environment;
Genuine curiosity about YouTube, audience behavior, content formats, and platform trends.
Bonus points if you:
Have hands-on YouTube/content experience;
Have a background in digital media, content businesses, agencies, or other fast-paced growth environments;
Understand how trends emerge and evolve in digital media.
