Our team consists of 500+ hardworking pandas who create content for 177 million followers on more than 200 social media channels. Bored Panda was named #1 Facebook page in 2017.

Now we are seeking a passionate Head of Business Unit to build a Breaking News department and A/B test new content categories to ensure growth.

What you will do:

• Build and lead a team of content creators, journalists, and editors across different time zones;
• Compete against the world's top publishers to be the first to cover breaking news;
• Hack processes and create tools to ensure we are the fastest in the market;
• Develop and optimize content strategy according to data to maximize views per article;
• A/B test new evergreen content categories (psychology, lifestyle, health, etc.);
• Review all content to ensure it meets high standards of quality and engagement;
• Implement and supervise performance-driven workflow for the production of articles;
• Take responsibility for KPI delivery and ensure growth.

What we expect:

• Experience in digital or growth marketing / business development in executive or similar roles;
• Experience in writing would be considered an advantage;
• Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to generate ideas for engaging content based on market trends;
• Creative approach and ability to make informed decisions backed up by data;
• Strong leadership ability to manage a team;
• Good judgment, competent decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• Fluency in English and Lithuanian (both written and verbal).

Salary: Total compensation 6600 - 9900 eur / gross (fixed and variable parts, depending on results)
