Now we are seeking a passionate and motivated Editor-in-Chief for our new Breaking News category.

What you will do:

• Build and lead a team of in-house and remote content creators, journalists, and editors across different time zones;
• Compete against the world's top publishers to be the first to cover breaking news;
• Review all content to ensure it meets high standards of quality and engagement;
• Develop and optimize content strategy according to data to maximize views per article;
• Implement processes that ensure we are the fastest in the market;
• Determine which topics will be covered in upcoming issues of the publication and select appropriate writers and experts to cover these topics;
• Implement and supervise performance-driven workflow for the production of articles;
• Take responsibility for KPI delivery and ensure successful category growth.

What we expect:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English or another related field;
• Experience as editor, copy editor, reporter, managing editor or similar roles;
• Experience working with breaking news categories;
• Native-level English skills;
• Good writing skills;
• High attention to detail and passion for quality;
• Strong process management skills and ability to lead a remote team in a fast-paced environment across different time zones.

Salary: Total compensation 3300 - 5800 eur / gross (fixed and variable parts, depending on results)
